Both teams lost the NBA Finals - Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers. And both of the winning teams had a back-to-back championships after beating the Orlando Magic. Orlando Magic 1994-95 (Shaquille O'Neal, Anfernee Hardaway, Nick Anderson, Horace Grant, Dennis Scott) coached by Brian Hill with a 57-25 regular season record. Playoffs: Lost NBA Finals (4-0) versus Houston Rockets Won NBA Eastern Conference Finals (4-3) versus Indiana Pacers Won NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals (4-2) versus Chicago Bulls Won NBA Eastern Conference First Round (3-1) versus Boston Celtics Orlando Magic 2008-09 (Dwight Howard, Rashard Lewis, Hedo Turkoglu, Jameer Nelson, Courtney Lee) coached by Stan Van Gundy with a 59-23 regular season record.
