Indiana's Buzz Report from Pendleton-Gazette.com TVmpg

Today, October 29th, Community Hospital in Anderson, Indiana, held their 11th annual Coats of Caring distribution. This year the event was held at the Park Place Community Center on the east side of town. When I arrived just before 8 am the parking lot was already filled and people were lined up at the door for this once a year event. During the event I spoke to Mr. Keith Trent about this year's coat distribution. He said that Community Hospital takes in coats all year long and with the help of Best Way Cleaners and several community sponsors they are able to supply between 1200 and 1500 coats. The Pendleton, Indiana Lions Club held their annual Halloween Parade through town today. After the parade a costume judging is held in Falls Park and it is MC'd by Lions Club member Mr. Dick Creger. This is one fun event not only for the kids but everyone else who takes part in it. The Indiana State Police here in Pendleton participated in the in the third nationwide "Prescription Drug Take Back Day" initiative headed by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to take expired or unwanted drugs out of the community. I spoke with Trooper Eric Wandersee at Post 51 here in Pendleton about this program and why it is important. We'll have these stories and more in this week's Pendleton-Gazette and LifePlusStyle this Sunday. Pendleton-Gazette: www.pendleton-gazette.com LifePlusStyle.com www.lifeplusstyle.com
